What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Printing being a competitive business and customer related problems penetrating the market with least resources is no mean challenge. Clients of printing business enterprises expect high quality end products and a personalized service providing prompt responses to their requirements.

With limited infrastructure and financial resources and relatively inexperienced staff, timely delivery of quality product or service requires not only financial resources and working capital but also technology, infrastructure and support of a dedicated work force who are willing to work long hours.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The challenge before me was to build up a committed team; transfer technology acquired by me to my employees and above all build the necessary infrastructure ensuring optimum utilization of limited resources. Raising finances from the conventional banking system without availability of collateral was no doubt a major problem which was resolved by building a highly personalized customer base which itself was a challenge a young entrepreneur had to face in a competitive business environment. I enjoyed the challenge of building good customer relationships by providing a service to the entire satisfaction of my customers all of whom have been with me. My problems became their problem and vice versa.and to maintain the highest quality standards everytime,

Having made the decision to commence the printing business with a saving of Rs.192,000/- over a period of nearly 4 years I purchased a small A3 size printing machine having obtained a loan of Rs. 150,000/- which was raised by my father. On 15th August 1999, I began my business life by purchasing the said machine for Rs. 300,000/. This is the dawn of a new era but beginning of a long struggle. With absolute determination I faced the toughest times of my life believing in the Prophetical saying “tough times never last, but tough people do”. Today we run an up to date printing facility maintaining competitive rates, highest quality standards with state of the art technology which is evidenced by my company M/s.
